Joellen Snow is a 5^th generation Texan.  She received her law degree from the University of Texas in 1978 and her Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas LBJ School of Public Affairs in 1979.  She has been in private practice in Houston since 1979, practicing in the probate, guardianship and estate planning areas since the late 1980’s.  She retired in 2022 from serving as an Associate Municipal Court Judge for the City of Houston, after 40 years.

Joellen is the former chair of the Probate Section and the Elder Law Committee of the Houston Bar Association, a contributing author to the HBA's Elder Law Handbook, a recipient of the HBA President's Award for Outstanding Service, and a frequent speaker to attorney and lay groups regarding probate-related topics. Her firm is rated AV Preeminent, the highest peer rating, by Martindale-Hubbell.  She is a long time member of the College of the State Bar of Texas which requires at least 30 hours of continuing legal education per year, and a master of the Bench in the Texas Probate Inn of Court.
