Joellen Snow
Joellen Snow is a 5th generation Texan. She received her law degree from the University of Texas in 1978 and her Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas LBJ School of Public Affairs in 1979. She has been in private practice in Houston since 1979, practicing in the probate, guardianship and estate planning areas since the late 1980’s. She retired in 2022 from serving as an Associate Municipal Court Judge for the City of Houston, after 40 years.
Joellen is the former chair of the Probate Section and the Elder Law Committee of the Houston Bar Association, a contributing author to the HBA’s Elder Law Handbook, a recipient of the HBA President’s Award for Outstanding Service, and a frequent speaker to attorney and lay groups regarding probate-related topics. Her firm is rated AV Preeminent, the highest peer rating, by Martindale-Hubbell. She is a long time member of the College of the State Bar of Texas which requires at least 30 hours of continuing legal education per year, and a master of the Bench in the Texas Probate Inn of Court.
Joellen is an active member of Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance, Houston Heights Association, Gulf Coast Bird Observatory, and St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.
Joellen’s husband Stan passed away in 2021. They have one surviving daughter, Megan, and two grandsons. Sadly, they lost their 7 year old daughter, Ellen, to brain cancer in 2001.
Pam Jackson
Pam Jackson is a Texan by choice since 1980. She received an Associate Degree in Applied Science/Legal Assistance Technology in 1993 from Houston Community College. She previously worked as a paralegal for a personal injury firm, and has worked as a paralegal with Joellen in probate, guardianship, and estate planning since 2007.
Pam is an active member of Brentwood Baptist Church where she serves in various capacities with the usher board, cancer support, alzheimer’s, youth, foreign missions, and Sunday school ministries. She also volunteers with the City of Houston and Interfaith Ministries in supporting those less fortunate.
Pam is the beloved Godparent of three children who are now adults.
